I have some more wedding photography at Harlaxton Manor to share with you. It was a pleasure to photograph Yasmin and Matt’s Military Wedding. They had their Wedding ceremony at the Church of John the Baptist in Buckminster and then went on to Harlaxton Manor for their reception. I arrived at the church nice and early, it was lovely and sunny! I had a wonder round and found the florist already busy decorating the church, it was very pretty. Matt arrived in his green land rover which he had decorated with ribbons and flowers so he could drive his wife to their reception in style He’d even built matching green steps! Matt greeted his guests nervously and the bell ringers started ringing for the arrival of the Bride. Yasmin looked beautiful, her dad looked so proud escorting her down the aisle with a huge grin. The service was definitely one of my most memorable, the vicar started by saying this was his third Military funeral he had taken in the last couple of weeks, Ooops!! Yasmin and Matt made their exit and as is tradition at a naval wedding they passed through the arch of swords. Yasmin then completed the mountaineering challenge that was getting into the land rover in her wedding dress!
I raced off to Harlaxton Manor to capture the Bride and Groom arriving. I love Harlaxton, it is a truely stunning venue, I am thrilled to be one of their recommended wedding photographers. Everyone relaxed in the grounds with champagne until it was time to go into the beautiful Long Gallery for dinner. The tables looked really pretty with vintage teapots and delicate flowers, by Flowers by Patricia in Oakham. She did an amazing job. Matt had made the cake himself, a naval ship complete with whale! The evening ended with dancing and music from the Cheesecake band in the great hall. Congratulations to Yasmin and Matt, it was a fantastic day.
