Grabbed a bit of time last weekend in the gorgeous sunshine for some children’s portrait photography with my lovely kids. I bought a massive picture frame ages ago and it’s still empty so thought I’d better get my act together before they are moody teenagers!! Of course we had to go and buy new dresses first and they had to try on half the shop! Charis has developed a proper little pose when you point the camera at her, (doesn’t make for the most natural photo’s but very funny!) We are really lucky in Leicestershire to have loads of brilliant countryside. When I do children’s portrait photography I like to base the session around a walk somewhere interesting because this keeps everyone nice and relaxed and I can capture people just having fun with natural expressions and genuine smiles. The light in the woods was amazing coming through the trees and I even managed to get a couple of shots of the girls together together, amazing what they’ll do for ice-cream!
